    PARENTS EVENING - MAY 2021

Online bookings for next week's Parents Evening are now live!

Appointments are booked via our school website and emails containing your booking link have been sent to you this afternoon. You will see two emails, one for the 18th May and the other for the 19th May. Please follow the link for the day you require and select a time which suits you.

If you are having trouble booking your appointments, please contact Mrs Raynor or I in the office and we will be happy to assist.

    Many thanks, Mrs Harding

  • Lateness to School

    Wed 05 May 2021 S Harding

As you know, many of our children have lost a lot of learning time because of lock down. This issue is being compounded for some of our children because they are regularly late. Did you know, arriving 10 minutes late everyday means that 33 hours of learning is lost each year. This is the same as missing 2 weeks of school!

I monitor attendance and lateness. There are an increasing number of children arriving late everyday. Not only is this having a significant impact on the children who are late but also on their classmates because their teachers needs to re-explain learning to the latecomers, meaning they have less time for the other children in class.

Lateness can be avoided. Please ensure you arrive on time everyday, both for your children and their friends.

    Thank you

  • How much of a difference can we make together?

    Tue 04 May 2021 S Harding

HOW MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE CAN WE MAKE TOGETHER?

Did you know that swapping beef mince for Quorn mince for just one meal - you help save Greenhouse Gas emissions equivalent to enough electricity to charge your phone for nearly 2 years!

Our school caterer, Eat Culture are working with Quorn to promote the Swap It campaign this May.

We are asking children to swap their usual meat school meal for a delicious vegetarian meal to reduce our carbon footprint. We are doing this as part of our commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2028.

During May, we will be recording the number of meal swaps the children have made in school. We’ll put the number of swaps into Quorn’s sustainability calculator and show the children how much carbon dioxide emissions they have saved!

For more information, please explore the attached document and watch Quorn's short video.

    Hi everyone,

I hope you are enjoying the long weekend.

Place2Be (our counselling service) have launched a new website for parents and carers of 4-11 year olds, offering practical advice on supporting your child and managing behaviour. I have posted a flyer in the safeguarding and newsletter sections of the website, as well as on Dojo.

    Best wishes,
